Recycle Costumes Enliven Independence Day Ceremony

The ceremony of Indonesia's 74th Independence Day at RW 02, Utan Panjang, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta was flocked by its local citizens.

The citizens attended the ceremony at Utan Panjang Urban Village Office's yard by wearing recycle traditional costume.

Based in Beritajakarta.id observation, citizens wear traditional costume from Padang, Sunda, Betawi and so on.

74th Independence Day, Anies Motivates People's Competitiveness

Head of RW 02 Utan Panjang, Casmadi Anam (54), admitted the ceremony is an annual agenda. The tradition must be enforced to keep the unity and recall citizens memory of our heroes during the war.

"Jakarta must be better. Unity is needed here," he said, Saturday (8/17).

According to him, wearing the recycle traditional costume was his citizens' initiative.

"We have society empowerment program that is changing used goods into something useful like this," he added.

At the same place, Head of RT 01/02 Utan Panjang, Subari (52), felt thankfull since his citizens were enthusiastic attending the ceremony.

"Thanks God the ceremony went successfully," he closed.
